Bennett & Stella!

I just realized that I have not posted a picture of our kids since I started this blog. How silly of me! Stella is 2 1/2 and Bennett is 5 1/2. He starts kindergarten next week! Stella will be in her first pre-school class (only 1 day a week). They are both very excited. Here are a few pics...

Stephenie Meyer Eclipse Signing!!

Most people that know me are aware of my obsession with the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer. On Saturday I went with 2 of my fabulous sister-in-laws (Whitney & Taylor) to the Stephenie Meyer Eclipse boook signing at Borders in Torrance. We had sooo much fun! We were the first people there and we were so proud. We got there at about 3:30pm and sat on the floor holding our spot until 7:00pm when the Q & A portion started. We were in the front row (on the ground). Stephenie spent 30 minutes answering questions. She picked me and she actually like my question. That was one of my fears of asking a question because you don't want to ask a stupid one. Then we got in line with our colored wristbands to get our books signed. The line moved so fast. When we got up to her I had to be a geek and tell her that my birthday is the same day as Bella's and that my first car was an '86 Diesel Volkswagon Rabbit (the same car that Jacob has in the book). She was nice and said her husband's first car was also an '86 Diesel Volkswagon Rabbit. I was much more star struck than I thought I would be. I just think she is so wonderful and I am so happy she decided to turn this dream she had into a series of novels for us all to enjoy! I can't wait for book 4 "Breaking Dawn". we have to wait until next August. Thank you to Whitney and Taylor for going with me. You are so fun to be with and I will miss you so much while you are at school. I am so excited for you and all the fun that you will be having!

Happy B-Day Joey!

Haven and Stella using our dirt slope as a slide. Then they threw dirt all over themselves!

We had a great time Friday night celebrating Joey's 30th birthday a few friends and family. When my mom and my sister didn't show up I was a little worried but thought maybe they were busy or something. Then on Saturday while I was at the Stephenie Meyer book signing they called the house and said they were on their way! They got the dates mixed up and thought the dinner was on Saturday. I felt so bad. Other than that we had a great night. Doesn't my husband look younger than 30?

So You Think You Can Dance Finale!

My friend Maryam called me yesterday and invited me to go with her to the FINALE of So You Think You Can Dance. My favorite summer show! It was such an adventure. Our friend Summer also came and brought her friend Tarah. The tickets said to arrive no later than 2:30 and we barely made it. We were the last people in line. We were a little worried about getting in so Summer made friends with production assistant guy named Edward. We waited outside for about 2 1/2 hours in the hot sun. Then they came out and told us and about 50 other people that it was full and offered us VIP tickets to another show or the next season of SYTYCD. We refused to be refused and we waited around a little longer. Keep in mind that the taping was scheduled to start at 5:00 and it was now about 4:45. Just as our hopes were going down Summer runs over to one of the security guards and asks him to get Edward for us. The next thing we know Edward waves us in and tells to run! He takes us in around that back and got us in! It was so much fun. We were in the right corner of the stage so we got to say hi to all the dancers as they were coming out. Summer managed to get her camera in and she got some great photos. Thank you to Maryam for inviting me. Thank you for Summer and her persuasive ways!
